Took me a couple weeks to get used to it but now I love my 9555. For some convenience I added a docking station to my setup. At the office I really needed a way to talk with it inside so a dock and an antenna later and I was all setup; works like a charm! Between the quality of the phone, the service, and Apollo I feel I hit a jackpot. Thanks to Apollo's support for putting up with those first few weeks I was having issues, they were very professional; highly recommended!!

It's a great little phone. Compared to the Extreme it's nice and compact. From my own use it's also built pretty rugged as well, although, I wouldn't go around dropping it all the time. Along with the services from Apollo it performs as I need it to; very impressive!

Have been using this phone while I hike for quite a while now. It's fun to even just call my girlfirned and let her know that I'm okay. They're correct when they say that it's compact, it does fit pretty well in my backpack, doesnt' take up much room at all. The battery isn't too bad either, obviously if you're using it all the time it will drain faster and since this stuff isn't cheap I don't go through too much juice most of the time, but it's still really nice to have. Awesome phone and luckly within my price range as well! Oh and wow can this thing take a beating, I've dropped it I don't know how many times and you cannot even tell.

I run a small fishing vessel and we spend quite a long time out at sea with tourists wanting to go deep sea fishing. We have a radio but just in case we have one of these satellite phones as a safety net just in case. It works very well we've tested it out numerous times, luckily haven't needed it for an emergency. Very good signal out on the ocean, haven't noticed any signal problems every time we test it we always get the network pretty quickly.

Got my phone all hooked up and tried it out. Following the directions is a must with these things, obstructions can really mess things up I didn't know this at first so I had some issues. A bit of a learning curve for me but once I got used to it it worked great.

Taking this on my camping trips was a really good idea. We take my boat out camping a lot and keeping in touch with loved ones is really awesome with this. It's also nice for a little lifeline but the chances of us needing it for that are pretty small.

A bit surprised with the display on this, I noticed some other people were getting kind of rough wiht the phone so I picked it up to take a look for any scuffs or marks and even the screen still looked brand new. I mean, you wouldn't want to hit it with a hammer but the display really does a good job of holding off getting marked up.

This is my kind of phone. I don't like overly difficult hardware, especially when it doesn't have to be, that's where the Iridium 9555 comes in. I keep it for emergencies so I really don't want it to be overly difficult to operate. I jsut need it to work and be simple enough for me to operate it even if I'm a bit panicked; this thing is perfect!

I go sailing as much as I can and I always take my 9555 with me out to sea. There are too many stories of people being lost and if they just had a satellite phone they could have gotten help.
