The Intellian i5 Satellite TV Antenna is the world's first marine satellite antenna system designed specifically for offshore cruising vessels ranging in length from 12 meters (35 feet) to 18 meters (60 feet). The i5 gives quality signal reception throughout many of the world's popular cruising areas in a small, efficient form factor that complements the aesthetic of vessels in this size class, with performance comparable to most 60cm (24 inch) systems.

A New Size Category

Cruise ships in the 40-60ft size range have always had to choose between function and appearance. Standard 45cm (18′′) antennas complement the vessel's appearance but are insufficiently powerful to give coverage that matches the vessel's cruising range. Until now, the only option was to go up in size to the 60cm (24′′) option.

While this gives the coverage required to get a signal in offshore regions such as the Bahamas and the Caribbean, most vessels cannot afford such a huge equipment. It's good to have an app for everything in the age of mobile devices. Aptus, Intellian's mobile and PC remote antenna control software, was the first in the world of marine satellite antennas. Wi-Fi is incorporated into every Intellian ACU, allowing users to manage and control their solutions from the palm of their hand. Aptus has auto diagnostics, rapid firmware upgrades, and a slew of other features aimed at making antenna operating as simple as possible.
