The patent-pending Iridium Certified High Performance Internal Passive Screw Mount Antenna (2JP0526Bz) has been added to the portfolio of Iridium antennas by 2J Antennas. Socket antenna module technology was used in the creation of this new antenna. This antenna will offer great specifications for application requirements that depend on low latency, high data throughputs, higher signal quality, and high performance thanks to full access to the Iridium satellite system.

This antenna offers excellent signal strength and a hemispherical radiation pattern that covers the entire spectrum. This strong antenna has a continuous efficiency rating of 70.5% and a peak gain of 3.5 dBi.

In order to place the antenna on an Iridium transceiver module, the 2JP0526Bz includes a standard U.FL connection, a 100 mm long 1.37 Mini-Coax cable, and a screw mount with a screw on function (module not included). This ground plane independent passive antenna, which has the small dimensions of 46 x 42 x 7.8 mm, is advised for PCB device integration that necessitates a close proximity between the antenna and the receiver. For optimum performance, a recommended free space of 70 x 70 mm is advised.
